Iranian parliamentary delegation headed by the Vice president of the Syrian-Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Association, Abbas Golrou, in the meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad emphasized the development of cooperation between the two countries.
Mekdad in this meeting expressed the great appreciation that the Syrian leadership, government, and people hold for the important role played by Iran in all political, military, and economic fields to support his country in the war on terrorism.
Referring to the recent changes in the region, the Syrian Foreign Minister talked about the necessity of an understanding between officials and authorities of Iran, Syria, and other countries.
Meqdad appreciated Iran's engagement in the Syrian talks and Iran and Syria ties in fighting terrorism and racism,
"Now it is the time to reconstruct Syria's infrastructures and we welcome the cooperation of friendly countries for economic and commercial cooperation," he added.
Head of the Iranian parliamentary delegation and the Vice president of the Syrian-Iranian Parliamentary Friendship Group Abbas Golrou, for his part, pointed to the historical relations between Iran and Syria.
Golrou, meantime, lauded Syria's historical support for Iran in many stages and the distinct relations of the two countries.
The Iranian member of parliament also stressed the need to build up these relations and further develop the economic and cultural relations.
The two sides also discussed relations between the two countries, especially between the Syrian and Iranian parliaments.
